Become an Ordained Minister of Peace
Seminary Program:
This program is designed to be completed in 3 – 6 months time, depending on an individual’s needs. You will register with one of our Seminary Facilitators, who will assist you throughout the program.
From the comfort of your own home, you can complete the 75 Spiritual Peacemaking lessons that form the heart of our program. Once per month, you’ll participate in a LIVE conference call with James Twyman and the other seminary leaders, learning and asking the questions that will help you establish your new ministry (if you cannot attend the lessons live, you’ll be able to listen to them at your convenience). At the end of the program you’ll receive your temporary ordination card, giving you the authority to perform marriages (according to the laws of your state or country of residence), as well as start your own church or peace ministry. To receive your permanent ordination card, you’ll need to attend a seminary retreat where the final ordination and graduation will take place, passing on the lineage of the original Community of the Beloved Disciple.
The Curriculum:
| This program is designed to initiate a shift in your consciousness that is so profound and significant, that you become a living, breathing prayer of peace. In other words, peace occurs naturally wherever you go, simply because the presence of peace is so strong within you. James has often said that over the years as he's journeyed to countries at war to perform the Peace Concert, he has never been able to actually locate the conflict. That's because his only goal in these situations, regardless of what seems to be going on there, is to be an example of the "Reality of Peace" that is all around us every moment. No matter what, wherever he might find himself, all he meets are beautiful, peaceful people. To some this may seem like a miracle, but it is really just the result of transforming one's consciousness and giving it over to God as an "Instrument of Peace." |

Recorded Lessons:
There are 75 recorded Seminary classes that you will receive on CD. Each lesson is around 35 - 50 minutes in length from James or other world-renowned spiritual teachers. There are also prerecorded lessons with James that you will be required to listen to on our website. It is therefore essential to either have your own computer that has internet access or have access to a computer with an internet connection.
Live Conference Calls:
We will be offering live calls through Teleconferencing where you can actually listen to James and have the opportunity to ask questions. These calls will be recorded and available to listen to on our website. This sort of interactive study will be a focus of the seminary.
Twice per month, you will participate in a Sacred Circle group/call with your Facilitator. These calls will provide an opportunity to ask questions, discuss your process and journey, assist you in clarifying your thoughts, and help to cement your learning. These group connections are a powerful way to obtain support in forming, building and assisting in the growth of conscious communities.

Required Reading:
At the beginning of the Seminary you will be given a list of books for required reading. The list will not be long, but it will be essential to the study. You will be asked to complete a very simple reading Summary of each book. This summary is designed to support you to clarify and go deeper in the understandings and insights you have gained from each book.
Retreats:
During your time in the seminary program, you will be required to attend one retreat for ordination. These retreats are held at various locations. Each retreat will be about 4 day's length. There will be an additional fee for the retreats to cover the cost of accommodation and meals.
Spiritual Journeys:
You may also have the opportunity to participate in our spiritual journeys, led by James. In the past this has included trips to Israel, Egypt, Australia, and Assisi, Italy. These journeys are a profound opportunity to study practical peacemaking in some of the most amazing parts of the world. Often participants have the chance to visit many of the holy sites, plus study with spiritual leaders from around the country. These adventures are fertile ground in which to harvest remarkable changes in your life.
We hope we have answered as many of your questions as possible, enabling you to make the decision that serves the highest good.
Together we have the ability to change the world.
